  The Commonwealth Short Story Prize shortlist is out, and there are five writers representing Africa. The Commonwealth Short Story Prize "develops and connects writers across the world" and is known for "discovering new writers and bringing them to a global audience." It was established 9 years ag.   A Book of Luminous Things: An International Anthology of Poetry Compiled by poet laureate Czesław Miłosz, this book is an anthology of over poems from around the world and across time periods. Miłosz holds your hand through the disjointed journey, providing commentary for every poem about why he liked it and why he placed it in the book.

‘Ten Years On’ is our second poetry anthology and contains almost of the winning poems from the last five years of the annual, international Welsh Poetry Competition. ‘Ten Years On’ is a celebration of the best poetry submitted to the international Welsh Poetry Competition between Entered Bard of the Year competition run by Poetry Digest, performing my own work from memory for the first time (published in anthology) In one year, was published every month (bar one!) in Poetry Digest magazine. Background. Sze attended the University of California, poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Conjunctions, The Kenyon Review, Manoa, The Paris Review, The New Yorker, and the Virginia Quarterly Review, and have been translated into Albanian, Chinese, Dutch, Italian, Romanian, and Turkish. He has authored eight books of poetry, including The Ginkgo . Poet Joshua Mehigan grew up in upstate New York and earned a BA from Purchase College and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. He is the author of the poetry collections The Optimist (), winner of the Hollis Summers Poetry Prize and finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and Accepting the Disaster (), which was cited in the Times Literary Supplement and the New York Times Book.
